A six hour jewelry class? Yes, it's really happening! You can come to one or all four open studio days.
By student request, we are making the studio available for advanced students to bring their own projects, have access to the studio, tools, and equipment, with an instructor available for feedback and support.
This length of work-time allows students to drop into a deep, creative flow and accomplish a lot (I took six hour studio classes when I studied metalsmithing in college and these were always my favorite days!)
This class is BYOS (bring your own silver to keep the cost of class down) and open to EXPERIENCED jewelry students only.
Erica is a multi-passionate silversmith, SoulCollage® facilitator, and progressive art educator, based in Hunterdon County NJ. She earned her BA in art therapy from New Jersey City University in 2012, and studied mental health counseling and art therapy on the graduate level at Caldwell University. As an exhibiting silversmith, Erica is fascinated by the deep, personal connection people form with jewelry. These objects hold meaning, memory and even identity as they become interwoven into the lives of their wearers. In her work, she strives to honor the age-old practice of body adornment as a meaningful ritual of empowerment and transformation. She exhibits her silver work at various art markets, music and yoga festivals, and renaissance fairs all over the northeast USA.
