Please note, this workshop is recccomended for ages 16 and up.
Join Memory and Longing artist Anna Kocher in creating an acrylic painting on canvas illustrating a memory of your own. In this three hour workshop, participants will be guided through the steps of creating their own unique artwork, from initial composition, to underpainting, to painting, including guidance on developing your own artistic voice. No previous painting experience necessary; this workshop is open to all. Please bring a photo (preferably a photocopy or printed on printer paper) of a favorite memory as your inspiration. We will be working on 8x10 canvases, so photos focusing on 1-3 main subjects or figures will be best. Other nostalgic images will be provided if you would rather select from those. We will take a small break halfway through. Feel free to bring lunch if you’d like; light snacks will be provided.
