Have you ever wanted to create your own functional piece of pottery? Maybe you have been wanting a new coffee mug or a bowl to eat ice cream from? Or you could be interested in making a heartfelt, handmade gift for someone in your life? Whether you are brand new to the world of ceramics or if you have had a little bit of experience in the past and would like a refresher course to get back into your personal pottery journey, this class is for you!
In this course, students will learn about processes and techniques within the world of ceramics, focusing on form and techniques within wheelthrowing. Students will be taught about the process from lump of clay all the way to fully-functional and food-safe piece of finished pottery! Join Jenna for this 10 week class, and she will guide you and help you to make pieces you are proud of!
Jenna Zellner is a visual artist from the Lehigh Valley who has been in the clay world for 5+ years. With an Art Education degree from Kutztown University, Jenna is ready and excited to continue sharing her love for art and ceramics with all of her future students. Jenna has experience in making functional, food-safe pieces, as well as decorative pieces using alternative firing techniques.
